My 5-Stars is not to indicate that this is the finest dining place around, but that it exceeded my expectations and satisfied the crowd that was with me. We went Saturday evening, and we went back again Monday afternoon. The food was fresh and the bars were clean. We had an awesome waiter, Kenny. He interacted with us, kept our glasses full, and cut up with us. Before it was over, we had the guitars inside and were singing for them. The steak on the buffet, wasn't what I'd get from a steak joint that charges $30+ for steaks, but it was better than the steaks that I've had on other buffet bars. I feel that we received a quality meal and excellent service at a fair price. We will be back!

The service was excellent- but that's where the excellence ends. The ribs were very good- but the rest of the food was mediocre at best. For the price of $16 per person- I expected much better. Golden corral and Ryans would have been just as good or probably better for much less in cost. The dining room is big and the selection of food is good- but I don't think this is good value at all. No way will I be back.

Worst buffet i have ever been to. Not very attentive service the moment you walk through the door. Not a very nice atmosphere. Lack of silverware and plates are rough. There aren't labels on ANY of the food. Food is either too bland or too salty. Exactly like cafeteria food but a lot more expensive. Not a satisfying meal.

I wanted to like this place, but it wasn't much to brag about. The staff is friendly and made up for the food. The salad bar was my favorite part. Everything else was either a disappointment or just okay.

$16/Head here not like other wood grill buffets, this one is obviously a tourist trap... Spare yourselves

We have been here twice in our week in the area. Is the food the best I've ever had? Of course not, this is a buffet, not a fine dining establishment. The buffet has a wide varity to pick from. Everything that I have tried there was at the very least okay. Yes, it is expensive. This is Pigeon Forge, everything is ridiculously priced. The staff here were very friendly and made our experience very pleasant.

Go somplace else. Went to get clean plate....got a handfull of massed potatoes on my hand on the bottom of allegedly clean plate. Way over priced. Lunch with deinks 3 people 44.97!!!! Dirty bad food go someplace else

I really think 1 star covers this place. First of all the smell is terrible. The food was not even as good as golden corral and more expensive than golden corral. Almost everything was cold. The meat was really fatty. Just really isn't worth the money.... like half of the money MAYBE. The server was sweet. That's about it.

If I could give no stars I would for a family of 4 with one child under 10 the price about floors me!! And drinks are not included . The food yes there is a lot of it but none of it is very good it's all over cooked and tough!! I'm very upset with this place all the bright lights and bells out side says the best but to say the least it was the worst.. Very unhappy customer

Excellent food with a wide variety including American, Asian, Mexican, Italian, steak, seafood, etc. All kinds of salads and desserts to choose from.

I was surprised to see how many bad reviews this restaurant has received...maybe I passed through on one of the better days. At any rate, this is not a "fancy" restaurant and there are indeed vivacious guests to be noted here and there as one navigates the cavernous dining room and buffet area. I've seen far worse at Golden Corral, however, and none of the patrons in their rebel regalia fired a musket at me despite my D & G sunglasses, satin shirt, and Yankee accent...so perhaps we can adopt a more tolerant attitude if that is what we ourselves would like to enjoy? Meanwhile, the food was quite acceptable overall...some of it was even quite good. The price seemed reasonable given the selection, if one brings a hearty appetite. I do think just a bit more attention to the quality of the cut of the red meats would be of benefit, along with better desserts. Also, the decor needs a little something. A weak four stars...but overall, not as "scary" as some seemed to think.

We ate here recently about 1:30pm and we got lunch at 2 for $15, a special suggested by the nice cashier. We had a friendly, enthusiastic waiter who attended to our every need and anticipated many more !! Service....top notch. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere, softly lit and the buffet is spread over two rooms, it's so large. Now this is a buffet, and as such, not advertised as a 5 star restaurant, but believe me, it was a better meal than the Park Grill in Gatlinburg.....!! Yes, you read that right !! And even better than The Cherokee Grill in Gatlinburg also. In the first place, there is such a huge variety of choices, anyone can find something they like here. Did I like every item....? No, but the ham was delicious, the sesame chicken in the Asian section was very good, the fried chicken was crispy and moist, the roast beef was tender and flavorful, not stringy or dry. Salmon was excellent and not dry. There were lots of vegetable choices.....and though they were not spectacular veggies, there are as good as ANY served in the local restaurants in this area, after all, this is tourist country !!.....There is a meat entree section, a taco bar, a pizza section, soups, a salad bar, a big dessert bar, ice cream, etc. No way can you try everything here !! Our server brought us freshly brewed JFG coffee to end the meal and it was wonderful. [locally made coffee] We will go back here because:.....it was reasonably priced, nice, clean, friendly server and cashier, parking is a large lot behind the restaurant. It is easy to get here {right on the Parkway at Traffic Light 1 ] To sum this up, you can get mediocre food throughout this area, and you usually pay a lot more for it. This is slightly above average food for a reasonable cost. I would recommend this to large groups, retirees, families, anyone on a budget who would like a lot of selections to choose from. We are not on a tight budget, but we'll eat here again....just because we have so many choices for our buck.

  • Amy H.

My husband and I actually ate there two nights in a row after we found the place. Good value for the money, great staff and the ability to easily handle the huge tourist crowds that hit this area during October. Stay away from the chinese and mexican foods, but the fried shrimp was great, the pot roast delicious and the steak really had that good wood grilled flavor!

  • Tommy A.

Note: If it was possible to give this god forsaken fuck fest zero stars I would. Where to begin... Ahh yes, the arrival. When we got there I thought that from the outside the place looked respectable enough.... But I had no idea the hell that was awaiting me. After waiting twenty minutes to pay 17.50 for a meal, I found a seat. After another ten minutes the waiter finally decided to stifle his vomit enough to do his job and get me a drink. Next I got in line to get some food. Well what the owners of this restaurant considered food. I sat down to a plate of five wings, some shrimp, mashed potatoes, and corn. The corn tasted fresh out of the can, the mashed potatoes tasted more like mashed butter, the shrimp felt like bouncy balls in my mouth, and the wings had human hair all over them. The one wing that didn't was decent enough, but by that point I was scared. The owners of this establishment should be put in a camp, or worse... Forced to eat their own bullshit. Better luck next time. Avoid this place like the plague. 0/5 TA

Good food! Great Waiters! Excellent service! It was kind of expensive but worth it for the variety of food.

In my opinion, a step up from your corralled buffets. Went at 5pm on a Saturday, immediate seating. As far as ratings, you have to look at the whole buffet atmosphere where food must appeal to the masses, old and young. Given that there is plenty of good food here. Burger, 4 Asian chicken varieties, chicken taco filling all fine and good. desserts good too. didn't care for potato casserole or Mexican rice (needed more flavor). the other 3 in my party all enjoyed their food also! Great Blackberry Cobbler. Hope this helps!

This is a buffet style setting like Golden Coral or Ryan's. Food is fair and price is fair. There is a lady that sings karaoke and is amazing. Location is good and seating is good. The steak was ok at best but is all you can eat and the other buffet foods were decent. The silverware was lacking and the plates were rough. The desert did not have a lot to offer. I've cream, a few pies and cookies and that is about it. Hope this help...

  • Chris L.

Very good buffet. Lots to choose from, especially if you go during the switch from breakfast to lunch. Price is on the high end, especially if you take a large family.

  • Adam S.

It's a step above golden corral or old country buffet and it has a large and diverse selection of food. Italian, mexican, fried chicken, burgers, hotdogs, wings, ham, bbq, chinese, various sides, rolls, full salad bar, and a dessert room. Nothing I had was particularly amazing, but nothing was bad either. The wings are surprisingly spicy (which I liked). The service is friendly and the prices are decent. Not a bad option, especially if you are looking for variety.

  • Chris W.

We went because of the outside and the sign out front. The prices are high and the food isn't that great. Save your money and go somewhere else. The server was great but it didn't make up for the lack of quality in the food.

    (2)
  • Shannon W.

Uhm.....no. the price isn't prominently displayed so we were surprised to find the $16 per person didn't include a drink. We also expected it to blow Golden Coral and Ryan's out of the water. The service was about the only thing that was half way decent. The fried rice has some kind of fried egg layer and was dry and crunchy. Rice should never be crunchy! Their mashed potatoes were obviously from a box and gritty. The only thing seasoned were the ribs which were pretty tasty. The sauteed onions and mushrooms by the steak were still crunchy. Most of the food was very bland. A little salt goes a long way. They had some fruit next to the children's area which was good, however nothing came close to a yummy or wow for me. I had a cookie and lemon meringue pie. The meringue was solid but the lemon filling was starring to separate and was gritty. On our way out, I visited the bathroom which all trashcans were overflowing, toilet paper and paper towels on the floor, broken paper towel holders, and even the feminine product tag bag in the stall was packed solid. Tells me that the signatures on the cleaning sign off were just that. Come in, sign, leave. I won't be returning here again.

extremely overpriced..for 5 and under being free, it cost 70$ for 3 adults. Drinks are not free. The food was really bad...the servers were friendly; but save yourself 25-30$ and go to golden corral which was more impressive than this place.

    (1)
  • Kristeen W.

We should have just thrown the $32+ in the trash, the food was horrible! We tried a little of everything to be fair and there was not one thing that tasted good. The staff was nice and friendly.

Great food, and even better service, which is where the problem lies. Management doesn't allow for or use a card system that allows tips to be added to your card, so unless you bring cash, or go to their "conveniently located" ATM and pay the three dollar fee to use it, you are left unable to tip your server. I've never seen a restaurant that does that. They're hurting their server's bottom line!

  • Jeff S.

First off let me start by saying that this is my first review, and I am writing it for a reason, this restaurant provided us with the worst food I have ever eaten at a restaurant anywhere (worldwide). The restaurant is divided into sections for the buffet, they included: Asia, Mexican, Steak, American, Kids, Desserts, Cut Meats, Seafood.. and I can't remember the rest. But with such a variety of food, you would think that you could find something decent.. Well think again. I tried some of the food items from each section and every last one of them was overcooked/dried out or way undercooked (steak). We ate there around 5-530 and did the 2 for 22 special (4 people total in our group). I tried the broiled style fish, shrimp, steak, tacos, asian beef whatever, asian fried rice, sausage, some other type of beef, multiple fruits and other things. Everything and I say everything was overcooked and dried out. The steak came in two ways, burnt black and dried (see picture) or barely cooked at all almost like completely rare (probably medium rare). The shrimp seemed like it had been overcooked and then left out on a heated tray all day and the fried rice was burnt rice (it had a strange taste to it). The fruit was cheap canned fruit, almost like you would see in those extremely large cans the school cafeterias serve, and im almost positive thats what they came from, and the chocolate fountain that they have in their ads, was a chocolate merely trickle. It had two sides, the right side wasn't even working and the left side was dripping chocolate, hardly a fountain. The marshmallows were stale as if they had been out all week long. Pretty much the only decent thing I ate there was the self made taco, and even that was pretty bad, if you wanted to add lettuce, your only option was leaves of lettuce like you would get from the salad bar. This place is absolutely the worst of the worst, the waitress hardly came by and the food was way over cooked, for the price I would go to a waffle house, at least they know what they're doing.. I won't be back.

  • Dave M.

We visited this restaurant based on "Wood Fire"-well ok, they kind of had that, but it sure wasn't reflective in the offerings! Over-priced and under-good. "Chocolate Fountain" was a couple bottles of Hershey's syrup. Spend your money elsewhere!!!

Very poor quality, very poor service, and very poor decore. My family and I had finished our salads (which was turning brown) before the drinks came to the table. Since almost everything was empty you had to ask to get everything, the stuff that was there was old and dry. It was way over priced, the fact that a 10 year old is counted as an adult is just silly. It wasnt clean and there are way better deals out there. In addition to all that, the cookie's were burnt. The star is only there because it has to be.

  • Joel A.

The Plus: Looks impressive on the outside, inside was well laid out. Price was reasonable for 2 people. Food was OK, nothing to rave about. Waitress was AMAZING! The Minus: Had to pay gratuity before we were even seated. Food is mirrored on each end of the buffet to make it look bigger. Food not freshened up as often as it could be was a turn off. looking for a cheap sit down meal in Pigeon Forge with decent food. This us your place.

Not a good choice !!! If there was a no star rating this place would get it !!! I should have known better then to enter this place. Experience tells me that when you pull into the parking lot of a place during prime time for lunch or dinner and you see little or NO CARS that this is a sign to STAY AWAY. How did I heed the warning? I sent my 43 yr old daughter in to look at the food bar. She reported back that it was a huge bar and that everything looked good. I'm here to tell you that I got a lot of small samples on the first go around and not one did I completely eat. My husband got sick before we even left the restaurant and remained sick the rest of the day. When I mentioned it to several local people, both told me no "they would not eat there." I should have checked for reviews of this place or ask a local for a referral !!!

  • Brad S.

First, I admit I mistakenly confused this place with a better-reviewed restaurant nearby, the Chop House. Go there or some other better-reviewed place instead. Hardly any business on a Tuesday at dinner time. I had doubts then but, stupidly, i pushed on. Honestly, I've yet to eat at any buffet where all the food was great (if not good) and this place was absolutely no exception. Only things I liked were the steaks and prime rib, those seemed fresh; not the best but decent enough. The rest of the food was pre-fab, canned, instant. Icicles on the salad bar vegetables, dinner rolls hard on bottom, no seasoning on any veggies, most items obviously sat too long on the hot tables and dessert had maybe the worst coconut cream pie EVER. If you want a lot of okay to bad food for your money, by all means eat here. I'll not be coming back.

I have to admit Golden Corral is certainly not my favorite, but it seems like the buffet at the Wynn in Vegas compared to this place. Floors were dirty and sticky. I stepped on a piece of gum and they just were not clean. The food quality was worse then Golden Corral. From the street looked like a decent choice till we got inside. Server was very kind and did a good job. However, some of the food looked and tasted like it had been there for a while and it is low grade food at best. Should have followed my gut when I saw the low ratings but went to make my wife happy. Guess that is one more reason not to listen to her, lol. If you want a buffet, pass on this place and hit the Golden Corral. It pains me to say it but it has to be better than this place. Even the parking lot had litter and was dirty.

Breakfast buffet wasn't very good. Pancakes were tasteless, bacon over cooked, biscuits dry. The service was pleasant though. So we were happy that the cost was low.

DO NOT EAT HERE. BUG INFESTATION. We came with a large group, and upon seeing a bug on the table, the manager told us that there was a roach infestation and they just reopened. Apparently they're still infested!!!!

  • Valerie M.

My family and I loved this place. They have the largest variety of food I've seen and it was all good. Lunch was $9.99 and dinner $14.99. That's a great price for all you have to choose from.

    (5)
  • John V.

We ate lunch there on 3/1/14. Price was $12.00 per person because it was Saturday. That is expensive for the quality of food served. I would have gone somewhere else but we had a family get together there. Ok, so you can see I did not like the price. Now for the food. Lots and lots of average food. The salad bar was excellent, as was the ham. I tried lots of other food like fish, spare ribs, steak, chicken, potatoes, etc. and they were all average. The dessert bar was a large one but like most of the food the desserts were all average. I tried strawberries which looked awesome but tasted dull. Lemon pie, pecan pie, coconut cream pie, berry cobbler, and ice cream were all average. Staff were average with little to no excitement about assisting you. If you want a place with lots of average food this is it but don't go on the weekend since they charge you a premium price for average service, facility and staff.

    (2)
  • Marion R.

High priced and went in but left without eating because the place had a fowl smell in the air inside the building a dirty smell!

  • Lindze M.

This place looked impressive from the outside, and its hard to resist giant neon signs that say "HAM!" on it. however, for $13.99, we got old food---I'm assuming from the lunch crowd, and they must have been preparing for dinner (it was 5pm) because there were slim, disgusting pickings when we went. the taco bar sounded awesome but was inedible. I would have preferred taco bell to that slop. I didn't see any ham, but the meats were pretty sparse. the Pizza was super old and mauled looking. I pretty much lost my appetite after one plate. Even the soft serve was icy and tasted like it had been diluted with water to go farther. super disappointing and a waste of money.

  • W B.

8/27/13 7:35pm I totally agree with Tommy A. Stay away from this place. Food was bad. French fries had turned a weird brown color, I would not let my 4 year old eat the fries. This place overprice. I wish I could get my money back. ........

    (1)
  • Heath H.

Yuk. It's not often I'm unable to find something redeeming about a place, but there was not a single thing I could find here. Well, ok...the rocking chairs out front are cool. Sure wish I'd read the Yelp reviews before we tried it. Much of the food was inedible and the rest just unpalatable. The staff seemed as miserable as the food. They were present, but not especially pleasant. We found ourselves feeling sorry for them, and hoping they find other work soon -- I can't imagine this place will stay around much longer.

  • Ethan E.

This was the worst food I have ever had. The general manager was rude. We had to pay gratuity before we even sat down to eat. They bait and switch by telling you they offer wood grilled steaks and a chocolate waterfall and neither of those are offered at lunch or advertised as being dinner only items. In fact, you don't find this out until you've sat down and realized that there's neither of these items on the buffet. It's terrible food, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

  • Janine B.

The breakfast buffet is AWFUL!!! The hotels free breakfast even beats this place.

    (1)
  • Greg S.

HORRIBLE. Please, do not EVER eat here. We went into the place for the breakfast bar because it was cheap and was right outside of our hotel room. 1. There was a HAIR in the pudding. We notified the nice waitress and she took it back to the back - and then came back and said "sorry." That's it. 2. How can you screw up bacon? Their bacon was SO DRY .. terrible. 3. They served some sort of whipped butter in a huge bucket ... 4. The waffles that they served on the bar was like chewing on a leather shoe. 5. The syrup for everything was so watered down that it barely sweetened the food. It was absolutely one of the more remarkably WORST meals that I have ever had in my lifetime. We were worse humans for visiting that place. I swear on my eyes that I will NEVER be back and I pray that my post saves at least some sole from eating there (especially for breakfast) -Greg

Great food, awesome service and can't beat the price for this oversized buffet! We will definitely return!

    (5)
  • Steven C.

Most of the meat items were cold to the touch. Told the meat cook so he dipped it in ajus which was cold. Baked potato was not fully cooked. Butter and sour cream did not have a utensil to dip with.

  • Crystal G.

Don't do it!!!!! I normally wouldnt waste any more time discussing a place like this, but the only reason I am writing this is to knock that two star rating down to one! My husband and I were traumatized by this dining experience. It should be $6.95 and not the $13.99 we paid for dinner. We agree it looks great on the outside. But we were tricked!

Wood Grill - Pigeon Forge TN So...I'm giving a buffet FOUR stars. Is that crazy or what? First off - it's a really nice place - the building itself. Second - with the gazillions of people in Pigeon Forge - and many of them eating here - we didn't have a wait - kudos. And finally - buffet food is normally ok at best - we all felt like this buffet was AWESOME. The shear size of the buffet rivals some of those buffet spreads out in Las Vegas. Great service. Great food. Reasonable prices. I will definitely be back here.

    (4)
  • Barry S.

Food was very good. Kinda pricey for a buffet. Service was ok, had trouble understanding our waitress and the waiter seemed more interested in the baseball game on TV. I gave it 3 stars for the dessert bar.

  • Aymi B.

Not a place I'd go to again. Like someone else said, from the outside, it looked very enticing. But once you're seated and ready to hit the buffet line, it's like, uh??? What is this? The selection is limited. Food wasn't all that great. I made a salad plate and the hard-boiled eggs were semi-frozen still!!! It was like eating a piece of fruit that came out of the freezer!!! OMG!!! Oh and get this, we walked in with our 2 year old son and 5 year old daughter...and the cashier wanted to charge us for 2 adults and 2 CHILDREN!!! When my husband asks what's the age for children, she said 6-12 is a kid's rate and 5 and under are free. Granted, it's a bit tricky to tell how old our daughter is, but our boy is a tiny thing! He DOES NOT look like a 6 year old!!! I mean, really? Use your common sense please! Oh and parking just sucked!

  • Susan K.

My husband and I really wish we had gone somewhere else to eat. We've gone by it many times and been enticed by the menu. In reality the food quality is not what you would expect from what you read on their advertisements. It tasted okay for what it was as far as the seasoning, but the steaks were pitiful. The variety wasn't what we were expecting in that price range. And to top it off it was hot in the restaurant. The entertainment about put us to sleep. It was not a good experience, and when I think that we wasted one of our dinners out on this place when we could have eaten at the Smoky Mountain Brewery or Calhoun's, it is very aggravating. Don't waste your time or your money on this place.

So, this is a long buffet in a huge building which was really nice because even though there were a lot of people in there with us it didn't feel crowded. It was almost 100 degrees that day we arrived in Pigeon Forge and this was the first place we ate at and we appreciated the fact that the AC was ice cold and there was no wait in line. Some of the dishes were really good and some were not. Hit and miss, but that's why buffets are fun--you can try a bite and waste the rest and you don't get yelled at (winking at my daughter). I especially like the rotisserie chicken which was cut up and soaking in a steam table pan of juices. It was tender and moist and had a great flavor from the seasoning. The buns were fresh and soft and sweet and I also liked their Italian green beans. The fruit bar was awful, not much variety and nothing was ripe. The honeydew tasted like it might be old. But the dessert bar was good, I had coconut cream pie, not homemade, but delicious. We had a large group for lunch and we got to use a coupon for buy one get one 1/2 off and it brought the price down a lot, we were very pleased. I thought I heard my dad say we only paid about 7.50 a head, so it was definitely worth it.

I would love to be a hero to some unsuspecting family who may fall victim to the appeal of an all you can eat fire smoked buffet, but what does is profit a man to eat all he can yet lose his appetite. I do not expect to have Michelin star quality food in a 15.99 buffet, but I would expect to have food that is edible. My wife and I could not even force down an entire plate between the 2 of us....but I suppose that was "all we could eat" I felt much better after inducing vomiting upon return to our cabin.....

Its a good place to eat good food good time probem is bring cash to give to your server couse They DO NOT add in your bill. They have a ATM but it coust you 3 bucks to withdrawl money sucks

Went here tonight for dinner. They have alot of different food items but maybe only about half of them taste good. The steak was just bad, and more fat than meat. The salad bar was mediocre at best. Giving 2 stars because is had a decent dessert bar and our server was attentive.

  • Karl S.

I was surprised to see some of the low marks given here. Our experience was much better. My wife and I were going to a concert (Don Williams whoo hoo!) at the nearby Country Tonight Theater and this buffet was situated nicely between there and our hotel. We found the food fantastic! The buffet is gigantic. Easy puts you in mind of some of the larger casino buffets I've been to. The steak was the highlight to me. Excellently cooked and far better quality than expected. My wife loved the fish and I thought the shrimp was better than expected. The service was very good too. My experience with Wood Grill Buffet was nothing but a positive.

  • Dianne G.

Ok, if we're talking about the price for all the food selections they have it's good. But, does it taste good?? Let me say it's what you pay for and don't expect too much. This place really isn't that bad but I'm not planning to come back here cuz this place is not clean. Idk if they disinfect the floor but the smell surrounding this place made me lose my appetite. Also the bathroom is disgusting!

  • Baddream G.

I have eaten at this place several times and it never disappoints. Place has something for everyone. It is a little more expensive but it's because they have steak and a wide variety on the buffet. The down home southern food was the best for me fried okra, cabbage, and fried chicken. They have a salad bar, dessert bar, Asian bar, Mexican bar and then the rest is stuff you usually find on a buffet veggies potatoes macaroni ect.

Dirty, dingy, poor lighting, scary shady guests, and a blaring tv in the dining room. This was just the beginning. Traveling with kids I wanted a buffet Golden Corral being only, other non-Asian buffet. So after reading online about the smoked meat, we went. Huge cafeteria style rooms decorated with twenty year old goodwill paintings. Erie, scary, creepy and weird are a few adjectives I felt. I was so uncomfortable it was hard to eat. The "TV" blared in the dining room Jeopardy over the meal it was hard to relax, focus, not to mention spend time with my family. The food was sub sub par, it was very hard to eat. Many dishes were on Styrofoam, and made with low quality ingredients. The dark lack of sanitation was very disturbing and distracting from the meal. It gets better, this meal for five with tip was almost $100. This was the only sit down meal with my family on a much deserved vacation, furious that I could not even talk over the televisions. I think this place is great if you are so basic, not picky, like low low low key truck stop type places. On the bright side who needs a show when you can come here, I have never seen this many rebel flag wallets and "interesting" people. Ending the meal in laughter, because of the standing O worthy performance.

Service was okay but not the greatest. We went at lunch and the place was all but empty. We had seen it driving by and didn't want Golden Corral. First the decor needs to be updated. The outside looks like a modern log cabin but inside didn't match a whole lot. They have 3 food areas, one for the salad and kids section, the main area where the seating is has the American, Asian, and Itialian food, and then an area for desserts. I got a salad first and it was good, being a salad and all. I then got some of the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some baked beans. Chicken was good but the potatoes were more of a box type than real. The baked beans were good but I think they were canned. My wife had some of the chinese and seafood but I didn't ask what she thought. Our daughter ate nearly all of her food but she loves to eat and our son didn't eat much of his but he hadn't been eating much anyway but he said the hot dog he had didn't taste good. For dessert I had the coconut cream pie which was still half frozen. Overall I wasn't impressed. I don't think we'll be going back.

Excellent service, horrible food! Went for breakfast, had to wear sunglasses from the glare of the grease on my plate! Food was also cold. I've been nauseous for 3 days now! By all means, skip this place!

From the outside you think wood fire buffet yum!! Let me tell you this is probably the worst buffet I ever eat at. The staff was nice and polite, good service to. And it was nice That 5 and under eat free cause my wrong children just pick at there food and don't eat much. But the food was terribly, meat was veiny chicken was dry pasta was way over cooked, everything I tried was a disappointment the only thing I liked was the apple cobbler and the salad bar. Look at the buffet before you buy.

Ate an early dinner and expected the food to be fresh. It was old and poorly maintained. For $15 plus drink I expected China plates, not plastic plates and desserts on styrofoam. Staff was not engaged with the customers. I won't make this choice again in the future.not worth my money

The selection is amazing! The food mediocre but being a buffet that's expected. Our server was exceptional. We will be back!

Oh My... The reviews for this place scared me to say the least. But for someone who loves food I LOVED this. I found out when we were there that there was a new Head Chef for this place and it made all the difference. I loved and almost died over their buffalo chicken wings.

For those of you that are not familiar with my review system, I shall elaborate here, as I am sure there are many questions as to why I rated a generic buffet four stars. I rate all businesses based on the quality which should be expected in their own category. I compare apples to apples, or rate on individual merit. This is a VERY large buffet. They have salad, asian, mexican, ammerican/bbq, italian, seafood and dessert selections daily. Some of the items change daily (different asian stir-fry, different baked pasta dish, potato dishes...they all can change day to day) while some items (steaks, chicken breasts, fruit pie, taco station) are fixed constants. Thats one of the reasons we liked it so much, is that it changed up a little bit. We ate here quite a bit, due to the very low cost (look for coupons!) and variety. Some favorites were the fried chicken, the lasagna, the stir fry with squash and zuchinni, the smoked steaks, and the blackberry pie. Service was much better than Golden Corral, and I highly recomend tipping. There is live music on weekend evenings, and yes, children and the elderly do dance. For an inexplicable reason there is a LIFESIZE almost nude poster of FABIO behind the salad bar. He is in small leather pantlettes and holding a length of chain with a "come here sexy lady" look on his face. I am not sure if this is to motivate people to eat less and stay sexy (thereby saving Wood Grill money) is some kind of a motivational tool for the kitchen employees or leftover from a previous business, but regardless its freaking strange and hilarious. Tell the Timeshare Hawk at the exit you are local and you will not hear another word.

Absolutely the worst buffet in the world. There's a reason they won't let you see the food first. There was nothing edible except for the cobbler and ice cream.

This has to be the biggest Western Sizzlin' I've ever set foot inside. It's positively ginormous. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast on our way out of town, opting to not wait for one of the more popular, local options. The breakfast is only served on weekends and is comparable to a Shoney's or other breakfast buffet. The food is cheap, plentiful, and freshly prepared. They even had an omelet station set up, but I didn't avail myself. Our server, Craig, was really really friendly and attentive. Almost to the point of too attentive, but it was a welcome change from most buffet service. In short, you could do a lot worse for the price. If you just want a quick meal or you've got a small army to feed, give Wood Grill Buffet a try.

Went to a Wood Grill buffet in Harrisonburg Va. That one was 4 stars not this one. Owner should go to Va. And learn how to run a good buffet

Ok first off I can't believe the 1 and 2 star reviews. This place is great. There is a very large selection of food and the service is great. It is a little on the pricy side for a buffet ($15-$16) but the variety makes it worth it. I go to gatlinburg at least once or twice a year and I always have to eat here.

Our server was awesome. Very poliet and engaging. Food was decent. Rolls were great. Some of the selections are mirrored on the opposite end of the bar giving the slight illusion that it is longer that it really is. If you are looking for some place quick, cheap, and with enough options to please everyone. Go for it.

Eaten here twice (thought it might have gotten better) but the quality of food is mediocre at best.
